Stylist — Privacy Practices
A factual description of what this app and its backend actually do, verified against the current source code — not a legally finalized privacy policy.
Account & sign-in
Sign-in goes through Logto, an OAuth/OIDC identity provider.
The app never sees or stores your password. It stores only the session token Logto issues — on-device, encrypted, in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore.
What is sent to the server, and why
Wardrobe items, outfit recommendations, favourites, and conversation turns with the Stylist are transmitted to the OnurAI API and stored there, associated with your account, so the app can show your own wardrobe and recommendations back to you across sessions.
Photos
This app uses your device's camera only when you press the shutter to photograph a garment (it asks permission first), or reads one photo you explicitly pick from your photo library. Only that one photo is uploaded to the backend, to support wardrobe, recommendation and garment-recognition features. There is no background camera use and no bulk photo access. While the camera is open, small preview frames are analysed on the device (Google ML Kit image labelling) to tell whether the chosen garment type is in view; this needs no network, and those frames are deleted immediately and never uploaded.
AI processing
To generate recommendations and replies, your inputs are processed by a language model. Depending on backend configuration, that runs either on infrastructure the operator controls directly, or through a third-party AI provider — in which case content is processed by that third party under its own terms.
AI disclosure
Recommendation and conversational reply text is generated by a language model — no person reviews or writes it. Wardrobe photo recognition and the final outfit-selection logic are, where documented as such, model-independent; the model phrases the reply, while the underlying evaluation is separate.
What this app does not do
Confirmed against the app's own dependencies — none of the following are present:
A subscription/premium mechanism is planned but not implemented today — no purchase SDK is wired to any real product, and no purchase UI presents as functional. This page should be updated the day that changes.
Data deletion & your rights
The app has a data-transparency screen listing what the Stylist has learned about you, with the ability to delete individual facts. Wardrobe items, favourites, and saved outfits are each independently deletable through their own screens.
Full account deletion is available from the profile screen when signed in, behind a confirmation step. It removes your wardrobe, favourites, saved outfits, imported products (photos included), the Stylist's memory of you, and conversation history.
This does not delete the sign-in identity itself (a separate system, Logto) — removing that account is a separate step with the identity provider.
